Pump installed at end of the hot water line of a tank-less water heater system and works great to end running water just to get the needed temperature.
Product helps provide warm water quickly. It is a little noisy but tolerable.
This is the ONLY product to give you "instant hot water" at a particular sink if you have a tankless system, so, I am bummed I have to get it again since it has malfunctioned so quickly. Purchased in December, began squealing when it kicked on in February. Its now March and I am returning and getting a new one. Hope the new one does better. I have it set to run 24 hours a day, but, the product should be able to handle that demand. 2 year warranty from the manufacturer but the return is done through Faucet Depot.
I ordered this pump because it seemed the best solution to use with my tankless water heater. The pump I bought from Faucet Depot was noisy. They referred me to Laing in Fresno, CA. They were great and sent me a new pump right away. It was perfect and so quiet I had to check to make sure the water heater was running. I installed it under the master bath sink as the farthest faucet from the heater. I had to install a power outlet there. I did not use the built in timer...just left the switch on. I used a SkyLink PA-318 RF controlled outlet. I programmed it as a 5 minute countdown timer. I use a SkyLink TC-318 Wireless Remote to activate the PA-318. Works great from anywhere in my house. Press the button and just over a minute, I have hot water just about everywhere n the house.
Works great and is very quiet----easy to install.
I bought this house new about a year and a half ago. It has a main floor with a small living area, bedroom and bathroom down stairs. The house also came with a tankless water heater.To get hot water downstairs for shaving I would turn on the shower and let it run until the hand sink water got hot. It still took some time for the water to get hot. I finally bought a heated shave dispenser to help the situation but still had cold water for rinse etc.Even upstairs the water took a while to heat at the kitchen sink and bathrooms. We seldom had "hot" water to rinse dishes, mostly warm but eventually getting hot.Finally, I decided to research circulating pumps for tankless water heaters.My tankless manufacturer recommended a Grundfos pump but it was $200 more. After further research and reviewing a couple of YouTube videos I decided the Laing E10 pump was the way to go.This pump is well made and does what it is designed to do. I installed it, as recommended, in the downstairs bathroom, set the timer for three different time periods and now have hot water at the hand sink downstairs in seconds. The shower takes a little longer but much quicker than before.The pump also provides hot water at the kitchen sink and upstairs bathroom much quicker that before the install.Well worth the money spent to keep from being frustrated time after time...I am a satisfied customer.
This pump with built in timer was so easy to install and has improved our on demand hot water system tremendously.
I used this pump in our bathroom to save water when using the shower. It has a timer, however we just turn it on a minute or two before we need it and then off. Works great. The one you sent was noisy so I called Laing and they sent another one right away. Great service.!!
Our home has two (2) tankless water heaters) We installed the recirc pumps in kitchen and a back bath. The seal on the kitchen unit failed after a 2 year period and water slowly followed a grout join under the cabinets. The slab is so level it seeped into the dining room and the hardwood floor began to buckle. since this room is only seldom used it managed to cup and bow the individual flooring boards. We finally noticed it when it exited the grout join at the op posit end of the kitchen. I placed a half bucket under the second unit with a battery alarm. just as a safety as that portion is carpeted. Just my experience.
This is the only pump I could find that had a high enough volume to trigger my tankless water heater. Where I used to wait for 3 minutes and watch 3 gallons of clean fresh water go down the drain, I now wait 90 seconds and save every drop. This was very easy to install by a handy amateur, it took me 20 minutes tops. My schedule is too erratic to use the timer, so I put the pump outlet on a switch and turn it on a few minutes before I need the hot water.
I used the product on a tankless water heater. I control it using an insteon outlet and motion dectector. The water in my shower which normally took at least 180 sec to warm up now heats up in 20 sec with a 30 sec pump action. Absolutely fantastic. Once the electrical was set it took 20 minutes to install by me.
I installed pump for a couple clients that have tankless water heater and it really works, i have tried other brands but this is by far better in every way.The only thing i wish is that timer has more option of intervals of time, like 15 minutes instead 30.I installed a digital timer with push button at sink where they make pump work just when they need hot water, so far pump is working as expected.Client ask me about durability as they have a very hard water in the Palos verdes area 90274 but i guess time will tell us.
